HONDA UNIVERSAL ADAPTER
ACCORD AND ACURA SERIES
Specially designed adapters are used in conjunction with Universal Anchoring System (UAS)
stands and Universal Measuring System (UMS)
pinchweld stands when securing vehicles with horizontal pinchwelds and vertical jack tabs in the corners of their center sections. (All Honda / Accord /
Acura vehicles excluding Odessey.) These
adapters allow the positioning of vertical jack tabs
into a slot on the adapter’s top surface, and the
attachment of 4 inch clamps to horizontal pinchwelds.
The Honda adapters attach to UAS stands in two
ways dependent upon anchoring tube used.
Figure 1 shows attachment to the ears of a UAS
clamp bar tube. Figure 2 shows attachment to the
vertical surface of a UMS adapter tube. Figure 3
shows attachment to the vertical surface of a UMS
pinchweld stand. Each illustration shows the
Honda adapter in its lowest mounted position.
IMPORTANT: Information on use of anchoring stands (including their attachment to repair
system mainframes) appears in the UAS Users
Manual and UMS Pinchweld Stand Users
Manual.
Spacers are provide with Honda adapters which
allow height adjustment of horizontal clamps. The
spacers, positioned between top surface of
adapter and bottom surface of lower clamp half,
are provided in these thicknesses: 1/8” (3.17mm),
1/4” (6.35mm), 1/2” (12.7mm), and 1“ (25.4mm).
This manual identifies the correct spacer(s) to use
for each Honda / Accord / Acura vehicle. (See following pages.) Use the identified spacer(s) regardless of the anchoring setup and observe the following when applicable.

One Piece Tub Shower
Installation Manual
& Warranty Information
Acrylic Bathware by
Fiat Products Ltd
255 Hutchings Street, Winnipeg, MB, R2X 2R4 Ph# 204-633-6122
Rev 05/03
Do not store units out of doors, Keep out of sunlight and exposure to moisture.
Read instructions entirely before starting.
These one-piece tub/shower enclosures are designed for new construction
and are too big to fit through average openings, so move unit into installation
area before framing is complete. Keep unit cartoned for protection, center on
hand truck, and handle with care.
A protective plastic has been applied to the front face of the unit. It is advised
to leave this plastic on during installation to prevent the acrylic from scratching.
A protective piece of cardboard, about the same size as the floor of the unit,
should be cut from the cardboard face cover and placed within the bottom of
the unit.
The cardboard face cover should also be used after installation is complete to
protect the unit during the construction period.
If a fire rated alcove is required, approved finish material must be installed
prior to unit installation.
Access to drain and supply connections should be provided so that these
connections may be made after the unit has been installed.
All plumbing and electrical shall be installed in accordance with inspection
authority requirements and local codes by qualified personnel.
Check and verify all dimensions
WHIRLPOOL PUMPS SHALL HAVE GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT PROTECTION (SUPPLIED
BY OTHERS) WHICH WILL PROVIDE ADDITIONAL PROTECTION AGAINST LINE-TOGROUND SHOCK HAZZARD. A 120V, 20 amp., 60 Hz. SEPARATE CIRCUIT IS
REQUIRED.
All statements, technical information, and recommendations contained herein are based on tests
we believe to be reliable; but the accuracy or completeness thereof is not guaranteed, and the
following is made in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied. Neither seller nor manufacturer
shall be liable for any injury, loss or damage, direct or consequential, arising out of the use of or
the inability to the product. Before using, the user shall determine the suitability of the product fo
the intended use and user assumes all risk and liability whatsoever in connection therewith. No
statement or recommendation contained herein shall have any force or effect, unless it is in an
agreement signed by officers of seller or manufacturer.
The framing procedure can be used with either wood or metal studs. If Metal studs are used it may be necessary to stiffen the metal studs supporting the screw the flange of unit with wood inserts. 1. Before framing is started, check level and quality of floor. Make sure sub-floor is sturdy and level. 2. Rough in 2” x 4” studs at standard room height to dimensions shown in Diagram 1. The studding across the top front of the tub shower should be installed after installation of the unit. See note below for units with whirlpool systems. 3. Check framed-in area for proper size and ensure studding is straight, square and plumb. 4. Provide a hole in the floor to permit clearance for drain connection. For Model 6200 and 6035 locate to dimensions shown on Diagram 1. For model 377 locate to dimensions shown in Diagram 3. 5. Install plumbing tree within framing, by using measurements from diagram 2. Measurements are taken from the front end of the studs that were installed to accommodate the screw flange. NOTE: On the 6035 series models, we recommend the use of a single lever fitting. The installation of twin valve 8" (203mm) spread fitting requires the holes to be drilled offset. This would mean that the shower head and 8" (203mm) fitting will not be inline with the waste and overflow. Check plumbing for any leaks.
